Paul Xavier Jones of Fairview, Texas passed away June 30, 2023 at the age of 76. He was born on September 10, 1946 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Paul grew up in Marston, Missouri and was a graduate of Lilbourn High School in Lilbourn, Missouri. He married Marcia Ann Cooley on June 17, 1972 in Davenport, Iowa. Paul worked for Metromedia Restaurant Group as Director of Construction for many years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed listening to country music and bowling. Paul most enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a devoted member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Marcia Jones of Fairview, Texas; children, Melissa Jones of Allen, Texas, Matthew Jones and wife, Courtney of South Lake Tahoe, California, and Mary Beth Hamilton and husband, Kyle of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, K.J. Jones, Brady Jones, Connor Jones, and Madelyn Hamilton; sister, Ginger Jones of New Madrid, Missouri; several nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dudley Jones; mother, Mary Williams Bodine; and stepfather, Samuel Bodine.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 6, 2023 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 North Greenville Avenue, Allen, Texas 75002. Paul will be inurned at the St. Jude Catholic Church Columbarium at a later date.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening, July 5, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. A rosary service will begin at 7:00 p.m.
