Paul Kenneth Maloney, of Bonham, Texas, passed away on August 10, 2023, at the age of 82. Paul was born March 23, 1941, to Reuben Maloney and Cora Clarice (Cook) Maloney in St. Paul, Texas. He was raised in McKinney, Texas and graduated from McKinney High School in 1960..
Paul married Betty “Louise” Lewis on November 30, 1962, in Plano, Texas. Together, they shared 60 years of love and memories. He was a member of the Randolph Baptist Church.
Paul was a jack of all trades with expertise in auto mechanics and carpentry . He was a mechanic by trade and at times owned and operated his own auto mechanic shop and wrecker service throughout the 80s and 90s. He eventually retired from the City of Richardson and moved to Bonham to live the country life with Louise.
Paul will be remembered by his wife, Louise Maloney of Bonham, Texas; daughters, Susan Essary and husband, Terry, of Whitewright, Texas, and Teresa Smith and husband, Kent, of Anna, Texas; grandchildren, Desiree Barnhart, Tyler Maloney, Anna Cross, Matthew Essary, Cody Smith and wife, Justine, and Carie Stewart and husband, Stephen; great grandchildren, Autumn, Kodi, Eli, Cayden, Carly, and Carter; siblings, Jesse Maloney, Mary Berkley, and Joe Maloney; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He is preceded by his parents, Reuben and Cora Maloney; son, Dennis Maloney; grandson, Jacob Essary; and siblings, Mae Ann Newby, Wanda Walden, Carol Mills, Geraldine Holland, Reuben Burten Maloney, and Emmaline Maloney.
A graveside service officiated by Wayne Sharp will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Arledge Ridge Cemetery. Family will welcome guests at a visitation from 5-7 PM, Monday, August 14, 2023, at Turrentine Jackson Morrow, 701 N Cedar St, Leonard, Texas 75452.
Pallbearers for Paul’s service will be Cody Smith, Tyler Maloney, Kent Smith, Jimmy Francis, Jordan Francis, and Jinson Francis.
