IN LOVING MEMORY

Paul John "PJ" LeClair

Aug 09 1972 - Jul 13 2024

Paul John “PJ” LeClair, age 51 of Frisco, Texas passed away on July 13, 2024. He was born on August 9,1972, to Paul John LeClair and Linda Strachan LeClair in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey.

He is survived by his former wife, Amy LeClair of McKinney, Texas; their daughters, Lydia Langham (spouse Marcus) of Princeton, Texas, and Elyse LeClair of McKinney, Texas; his grand-daughter, Ava Langham; his sister, Jenipher Fickey (spouse Travis) of Lovelady, Texas; his father and mother in law, Robert and Joan Bruhn of North Richland Hills; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents Paul John LeClair Sr. and Linda Strachan Hamilton; his brother Scott LeClair; his grandparents, Joseph and Louise Strachan; his brother-in-law, Kenny Carroll; and his nephew, Ryan Cook.

Paul grew up in Huntsville, Alabama and always considered it home. He attended Calhoun Community College on a baseball scholarship before moving on to Livingston University as a center fielder for the Tigers. After his junior year in college, he fulfilled his childhood dream to play professional baseball and was drafted by the New York Mets. He played a couple of seasons in the minor leagues before an injury sent him home.

After his tenure with baseball ended, he married Amy Bruhn, of Huntsville, AL. He had his first daughter, Lydia, before moving to Texas where his second daughter, Elyse, was born and where he called home for 24 years. He spent the remainder of his career working in the HVAC industry. However, his love of ball never ended. It just shifted from baseball to softball as he began playing adult softball, coaching his daughters, and umpiring. Paul spent countless hours at practices and tournaments, pouring his heart into teaching dozens of young girls his love of the game. He was very proud of this and would probably consider it his greatest legacy.

We will miss his silliness, competitiveness, coaching, his game day texts to Elyse, jokes, reciting lines from movies, but most of all his tenderness because his hugs encompassed all of his love.

A visitation will be held in Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033, on Sunday, July 21, 2024, from 1:00-2:30pm; and funeral service will follow at 2:30pm.
