Paul Garrett Engler, age 34, of McKinney, Texas, died on October 21, 2017 after the plane he was in crashed outside of San Diego, California. He was born September 1, 1983 to Matthew Paul Engler and Janice Christine Mims in Amarillo, Texas. Garrett grew up in Canyon, Texas where he graduated from Canyon High School in 2002. He was a beloved son and devoted father to his two sons.
He is survived by his sons, Trevor Paul Engler and Tyler Matthew Engler of McKinney, Texas; parents, Chris Mims and Matt Engler both of McKinney, Texas; sister, Rachel Jordan and husband Jason of Lubbock, Texas; brother, Ryan Engler of McKinney, Texas; grandmother, Carol Engler of Austin, Texas; grandfather, Paul Engler of Amarillo, Texas; niece and nephew, Abigael Jordan and August Jordan of Lubbock, Texas; many other loving relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends to remember and honor Garrett on Tuesday November 14, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Turrentine- Jackson- Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
