Paul Douglas Boothe, of Prosper, Texas, passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 63.
Paul was born on December 12, 1962, in Warner Robins, Georgia, to Sherman Edward Boothe and Nancy (Lynn) Boothe.
Paul honorably served his country in the United States Navy for eight years. Following his military service, he devoted his life to public safety, serving his community for four decades. Paul worked as a police officer for several law enforcement agencies, including the McKinney Police Department, and also served as a fire/paramedic with multiple agencies. He concluded his distinguished career with the Prosper Police Department, retiring with the rank of lieutenant.
On January 26, 2019, Paul married Deborah Winter in Prosper, Texas.
Paul will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to service, his sense of duty.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Boothe of Prosper, Texas; son, Paul D. Boothe, Jr. of Washington, D.C.; son, Christopher Paul Boothe and wife, Alma of Vado, New Mexico; daughter, Sarah Lynn Boothe of Las Cruces, New Mexico; daughter, Laura Clare Gate and fiancé, Walker Keith McLeod of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Sarah Kate Barrows and husband, Michael Laing Barrows of Washington, D.C.; daughter, Hannah Elise Nelson of Prosper, Texas; grandchildren, Evelyn Hernandez of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Stephanie and Jaydon Sosa of Vado, New Mexico, and Christopher Jaxon Boothe of Vado, New Mexico.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman Edward and Nancy Boothe.
