Paul Barton Burkhart of Plano, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, at the age of 87. He was born on May 5, 1939 to Clay Burkhart and Mildred (Richardson) Burkhart, in Teague, Texas. He grew up in Fairfield, Texas, where he was a proud 1957 graduate of Fairfield High School. He later attended North Texas State University.

On February 2, 1962, Paul married the love of his life, Carol Ann Jackson, at Central Baptist Church in Irving, Texas. Together, they shared a life filled with love, family, and cherished moments.

Paul was a dedicated professional who, along with his wife and Partner Ron White, owned and operated Concordia Equity and worked in commercial real estate for more than 30 years. He took great pride in his work and the relationships he built throughout his career.

Paul had a lifelong appreciation for his hobbies and collecting. He was an enthusiastic model train hobbyist, enjoyed model cars, and had a passion for collecting antiques. These interests reflected his curiosity, patience, and appreciation for history and craftsmanship.

A devoted Baptist and member of First Baptist Church Richardson, Paul’s faith was an important part of his character and guided him throughout his life. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Paul will be missed dearly and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Ann Burkhart of Plano, Texas; son, Jon Paul Burkhart of Sherman Oaks, California; brother, William “Bill” Clay Burkhart and wife, Jan of Edgewood, Texas; sister-in-law, Jan Stovall and husband, Leighland Shawn of Haslett, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family members and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents Mildred and Clay Burkhart and brother, Alan Barnett Burkhart.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, August 28, 2026 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Paul’s obituary page by clicking on the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/paul-barton-burkhart. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
