IN LOVING MEMORY

Patsy Ruth Habashy

Aug 22 1940 - Dec 27 2023

Patsy Ruth (Garrison) Habashy, age 83, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on December 27, 2023. She was born on August 22, 1940, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Clarence and Sarah (Lipsey) Garrison. On June 28, 1962, Patsy married Dr. Labib Habashy in Memphis, Tennessee. She earned her master’s degree from the University of Houston and had a successful career as a professor of English Literature. She was an exquisite writer, a voracious reader, a creative thinker, had an exceptional eye for color and design, and loved sharing stories and laughter with friends and dear ones. She also had a deeply rooted Christian faith, having placed her trust in Christ at an early age and remaining active in her faith until the very end of her long life. She would want all who are reading these words to know that the chief end of man is to glorify God, and to enjoy Him forever. She would eagerly convey to anyone at any time that a relationship with Almighty God is available because of the perfect life, sacrificial death, and miraculous resurrection of Jesus Christ.

By God's grace, Patsy's final moments were filled with peace and comfort as she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren, as all shared memories, tears, and gratitude while celebrating Patsy's life: her generosity; her tenderness; and her constant acts of kindness towards others.

Patsy is remembered with love and adoration by her family, daughters, Elizabeth Zielke and husband, Daniel, of McKinney, Texas, and Catherine Gerton and husband, Bill, of Frisco, Texas; son, Jonathan Habashy and wife, Kris, of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Wesley Daniel Zielke, Lydia Gabrielle Zielke, Sarah Anne Schletewitz (Jameson), Noah Tom Page (Kaili), Amish James Page, Olivia Blue Page, Jeb Ethan Habashy, Gareth Owen Habashy, and Ruth Adeline Habashy; great-grandson, Mathias Leroy Page; and her brother, Clarence Ronald Garrison of Memphis, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Labib Habashy, and her parents, Clarence and Sarah Garrison.

Visitation and graveside service will be private.
