Patsy Ann Pannell Murphy was born July 20, 1930 in Sherman, Texas to Joseph Jefferson Pannell and Ella Keener Pannell. She married James Patrick Murphy on July 10, 1949 in McKinney, Texas. She died Monday, September 25, 2017 at her home in Whitewright, Texas at the age of 87.

Pat and Patsy owned and operated Murphy Antiques in Whitewright for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitewright.

She is survived by husband, Pat Murphy of Whitewright; daughters, Marjorie Pokorny of Whitewright and Polly Forrester of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Ben Ricks and Shelia Miller; 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Dan Pannell.

Graveside Services were held 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service was Rev. Houston Garner.
