Patrick “Pat” Joseph O’Hara of McKinney, Texas passed away unexpectedly at 42 years of age on Friday, December 28, 2018 in Frisco, Texas. He was born on December 21, 1976 in Kansas City, Missouri to Elizabeth Ann (Frank) and Terry Donald O’Hara. Pat is the oldest of 3 siblings. He grew up and played sports in Yukon, OK during his early years and then Houston, Texas where he met his high school sweetheart, Stacy Lynne Dafoe, at Hastings High School - Alief ISD. Pat attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas from 1995 – 2000, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations/Marketing (Magna Cum Laude). While at TTU, Pat enjoyed heckling opposing baseball teams in Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park and entertaining the masses by performing improv stand-up comedy and DJing on KTXT 88.1 FM. After college, he enjoyed being an International Marketing Coordinator and Specialist with National Instruments in Austin, Texas for 6 years before transitioning to Lennox International in Richardson, Texas as a Business Analyst. Over the course of 13 years with Lennox, Pat also held the roles of Sales Operations & Pricing Manager and then Senior Manager, Sales Operations. Pat and Stacy married on June 16, 2001 in Austin, Texas and welcomed their first child. After settling in McKinney, Texas, Pat and Stacy were blessed with two more children. There was nothing that mattered more in this world to Pat than his family. He took great pride in supporting his children’s extracurricular activities and playing with them; he was a self-proclaimed Hide-N-Seek champion. Pat was a fierce and God-fearing man; strong in his faith and active with his church, Frisco First Baptist. He was involved in children’s ministry including the Upward basketball program and Royal Ambassadors, as well as taught the men’s bible study group. As his family, we are comforted knowing he is, no doubt, doing something for God in heaven now.
