Mr. Patrick Shawn Stanton, age 47, of Plano, Texas passed away, Sunday, January 21, 2007 in Melissa, Texas. He was born on May 4, 1959 in Dallas, Texas to Michael J. and Joan Phyllis (Delin) Stanton. In high school, Patrick played football on the 1977 Plano Wildcat State Champion Team whose game tapes are still used for strategy and training. A graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science class of 1985, Patrick, worked as a salesman in the Medical Field. He was also a hunting and fishing enthusiast and, a member of the Catholic Faith. He loved children so, that his friend's children all called him Uncle Shawn. He is survived by his mother, Joan Stanton of Plano, Texas; siblings, Suzanne Stanton of Plano, Texas, Michael Stanton of Spartanburg, South Carolina and, Donna Reynolds of Cincinnati, Ohio; 8 nieces and nephews; 6 great nieces and nephews; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death on June 8, 2005 by his father, Michael J. Stanton. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM, Friday, January 26, 2007 at St. Marks Catholic Church, Plano, Texas with Msgr. Leon Duesman officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening during a visitation at St. Marks beginning at 6:30 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:30 PM.
