IN LOVING MEMORY

Patricia Louise Allen nee Lambert

Nov 25 1935 - May 12 2020

Louise was graced to go home with the Lord Jesus Christ and departed from Celina, Texas on May 12, 2020. She was formerly of Tazewell, Virginia and Seffner, Florida. She was born a coal miner’s daughter to Everett and Gladys Lambert in Amonate, Virginia. Louise was a faithful wife for over 47 years to Harvey D. Allen and loving mother to Patricia Rexford of McKinney, Texas and Harvey L. Allen of Tampa, Florida. She was a doting grandmother to Katrina Lang (Allen), Trevor L. Allen, Andrew Rexford, Aaron Rexford and James McCaffrey. Louise was blessed with six great-grandchildren, Parker, Kennedy, Cadence and Ivy Lang and Caleb and Julia Rose Rexford. She loved the Lord and was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Mango, Florida for almost 50 years; she had a special place in her heart for Rev. Billy J. and Mrs. Vesta Dickerson. Louise had fond memories of the part of her childhood spent in the Church of God orphanage in Sevierville, Tennessee. She was strong in her faith and so was able to meet the many challenges of life with courage and confidence. Louise was a peacemaker and always tried to see the best in everyone. She began working at the five and dime store on Main Street in Tazewell, Virginia and after moving to Florida, she completed a course in bookkeeping at the Hillsborough Technical School. Louise always worked hard to care for her family. She finished her “working” career with the Coca Cola Company where she retired. Louise was a kind hearted woman who loved to help and encourage those around her. She loved her family and made many sacrifices for those she loved. Louise loved her dogs, traveling across the United States, gospel music and Willie Nelson. She had a mischievous sense of humor and like her brother, Leonard, she loved pranks. Louise was a St. Louis Cardinals and a Florida Gators fan.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys; father, Everett; step-father K. B. Murray; sister, Lois Lambert; brothers, Roy and Leonard Lambert and husband, Harvey D. Allen.

Louise is survived by her sisters, Thelma Asbury, Marge Byrum, Lillie Mae Atwell, and Linda Lawson all of Virginia.

Louise will be interred with her husband at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Settlers Ridge Care Center in Celina, TX, Heart to Heart Hospice of Texas, or to the Bible believing church of your choice.
