Patricia "Pat" Mae Champlin of Plano, Texas departed this earth on December 25, 2025, at the age of 92. She was born on March 23, 1933, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Pat lived a life rich in love and generosity, touching the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Pat grew up in Cedar Rapids, where she attended local schools and completed her higher education in her beloved home state. She married the late James Burton Champlin on September 2, 1951 in Iowa.
For many years, Pat dedicated herself to her family as a devoted homemaker while also sharing her talents with the community through her work at a local jewelry store for ten wonderful years. Her commitment to sobriety for over 53 years is an inspiring testament to her strength and character, and she tirelessly mentored others in the area of Alcoholics Anonymous, showing them the path of hope and healing.
A follower of the Christian faith, Pat was known for her generous spirit, always there to lend a hand or offer words of encouragement to those in need. She was a loving wife, a dedicated mother to her children, and a treasured friend whose kindness will be remembered by many.
Pat is survived by her sons, Don Champlin of Plano, Texas and David Champlin and wife, Denise of Houston, Texas; numerous other extended family members, AA Family and dear friends.
She is joined in eternity by her beloved husband, Jim and her parents, but her spirit will continue to shine through the countless lives she has touched.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
