Patricia Clotfelter

Patricia Clotfelter 78, Frisco, Texas passed on August 8. She was born in Monroe, Louisiana, and was the only child of Odis and Anna Mae Oliver. She lived in Bastrop, Louisiana, until she entered high school. At midterm of her freshman year her father, who was employed by The International Paper Company, was transferred to Litchfield, Illinois. It was at LCHS where she met and later married Chuck Clotfelter in 1961. Shortly after marriage they relocated to Texas to attend college.

Patricia earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the University of North Texas. She retired after a 30-year teaching career as a 2nd grade teacher with the Plano School District.

Besides her love for her work in education, Patricia enjoyed playing games with friends and family, reading, working puzzles, her dog, and RV travels. She and Chuck toured all lower 48 states and all Canadian provinces including ferrying their motor coach to Newfoundland. They also took cruises to Alaska and Hawaii. She enjoyed time with Chuck when he was at their farm overseeing the cattle and crops.

Patricia had a sweet, kind, and gentle spirit. She always had a good and kind word for everybody. Patricia enjoyed her friends, her many travels, and spending time with Chuck. She is survived by Chuck; daughter, Cynthia (Tony) Stick and five grandchildren. Preceding Patricia in passing were daughter, Charlotte (Ken) Stephensen and granddaughter, Jillian Wiese.

Patricia’s ashes will be interred at the Clotfelter family plot in Elm Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Litchfield.
