Patricia Ann Koonce Bailey, age 71, of Sherman, Texas passed away June 13, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. She was born August 20, 1942 in McKinney, Texas to R.B. and Eunice (Ray) Koonce. Pat was a graduate of Princeton High School where she received many honors, played basketball and served as a majorette. She married her high school sweetheart Johnny Mack Bailey on November 22, 1961.
Pat is survived by her loving husband, Johnny Mack Bailey, devoted daughter Kim Morris, son-in-law Billy and cherished grandson Johnathan Clay Morris all of Sherman, Texas, sister Nelda Beyer of Arlington and brother Robert (Bob) Koonce of Princeton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother J. B. Koonce. Pat was deeply loved by her nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. She was “Mimi” to her grandson Johnathan and “Aunt Pat” or “Nana” to her extended family and those closest to her. She will be greatly missed by all.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held on Tuesday evening, from 7pm until 9pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Home Instead, Jordan Home Health and Compassionate Care Hospice, whose skillful and loving care of Pat allowed her to spend her final months at home.
