I learned of Patty's home-going months after her passing. I am writing this entry so that I can personally bring closure to this great loss. I taught Patty's children and she was a wonderful mother and lady. Her smile was infectious! I shall never forget this lovely lady. Patty Avery was in a class all by herself. Patty dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High God and now she is abiding under the shadow of the Almighty. Isiah Joshua, November 9, 2009 I am so sorry to hear about Patty, she blessed my life so much while I worked with her at the flower shop. She was a beautiful person inside and out. I can remember her patience with customers and the care that she took with all of their requests. She was so proud of her sons and was always so happy to hear from them and Bill during her day. She was also so gracious to our class when we lost a dear classmate just days before graduation. She worked late to make sure we had everything we needed for a specail floral memorial to him at our graduation ceremony. I hope that the beautiful memories of her will help you all fill the gap in your life with her passing. Amy Galbraith/Campbell, May 4, 2009 Bill,David and Tim, We were sorry to hear about your Mom. She was a beautful woman inside and out.It was my privilege to have known your mother. You are in our thoughts and prayers in the days ahead. God Bless you'll. The Jenkins Cynthia & Wayne Jenkins, May 4, 2009 Patty was such a light to the city of Mckinney and surrounding areas. I loved to visit her in her shop and she was always one of the most cheerful people I have ever known. I had lost touch recently but she was always someone you expected to see again, around the corner, at a wedding, many places. She did the beautiful flowers for my daughter's weddding, and was so wonderful to all the kids from the dance school next to her shop. I know you will miss her terribly but I know she is busy in heaven arranging beautiful bouquets for the King of Kings!! Blessings and Comfort to you all. Tina Brown, May 2, 2009 As I was returning from a trip yesterday I suddenly thought of Patty. I did not know she had passed away at that point but, knowing she was ill, I thought of the many flower shows we worked on while we were in the Willa Largent Garden Club. I had known Patty casually before that and only knew she was beautiful and was always smiling. I am so grateful that I was able to get to know her for how truly sweet and gracious she was inside. She was so talented in so many ways but she never "showed off" or bragged despite the many gifts she had. When I think of her exterior beauty I remember her entering a Christmas party all in pink and charmiing everyone with her smile. When I think of her generous kindness I remember her helping me arrange flowers as I struggled to learn how. If I will miss her despite only seeing her rarely, I understand how much you, her family, will miss her. We were all lucky to have had her touch our lives.
