Patricia Ann Barnes

January 2, 1933 - February 28, 2022

Patricia Ann Barnes, 89, passed away on February 28, 2022 in McKinney, TX.  She was born January 2, 1933 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Davis Noble Barnes in 1993. She and Dave married in Tulsa in 1951 and spent time in Dallas, Houston, and New Orleans. They settled in Plano in 1972 with their three sons and there they created long lasting friendships with neighbors.

She enjoyed reading, volunteering with her church family at First United Methodist Church of Allen, and collecting anything featuring her favorite bird, the Cardinal. 

Patricia’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her children: David Barnes and his wife Dena, Larry Barnes and his wife Cheryl and Michael Barnes and his wife Lori, six grandchildren: Chase Barnes and his fiancé Jenn, Kimberly Knight and her husband Josh, Reid Barnes, Blaire Barnes, Jessie Rose and Mark Rose, and her three great grandchildren: Abbigail, Connor and Davin. 

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 4, 2022 at Turrentine-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Thursday to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
