IN LOVING MEMORY

Panagiotis “Pete” T. Spyropoulos

May 02 1955 - Sep 13 2018

Panagiotis “Pete” T. Spyropoulos, age 63, of Inglewood, California, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, September 13, 2018.  He was born on May 2, 1955 in Trechlo, Greece to Thrasivoulos and Maria (Velis) Spyropoulos.

Pete and his family immigrated to The United States in March of 1970 and immediately began to grow roots in Dallas, Texas.  Pete’s reputation was one of integrity, respect, generosity and hard work.  He had a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back to a stranger.  He thrived off being involved in helping others.  He owned and operated multiple, successful businesses, becoming a pillar in the communities he served.  Truly one of a kind, Pete loved spending time with family and friends.  He had a passion for playing and coaching soccer and sharing that love for the game with his children as well as sharing his zest for family, culture and heritage.

In 2011, Pete moved to Los Angeles, California to be with his soulmate, Morfia Anagnostou.  Together, Pete and Morfia operated two successful restaurants and as always, he endeared himself to an entire community.  Pete and Morfia were lovebirds; their unique relationship could only be described similarly to that of high school sweethearts.  They constantly doted on one another and loved spending time in their garden and playing with their dogs Mitzi, Prince and Bandit.  His children were constantly amazed by his happiness and energy upon moving to his new “home” and took every opportunity to visit “Pops”.

Pete is survived by his partner, Morfia Anagnostou of Inglewood, California; children, Trey, Anthony and John of Dallas, Texas from his marriage to Roseann Spyropoulos; step-children, Asterios Anagnostou and Irine Martin of Los Angeles, California; siblings, Toula Papaspiros and husband, George of Dallas, Texas, Nikolitsa Pagonis of Komboti, Greece, John Spyropoulos and wife, Mary of Richardson, Texas, Nikolaos Spyropoulos and wife, Allison of Plano, Texas, Deno Spyropoulos and wife, Gina of Murphy, Texas and Avie Nikolopoulos and husband, Nick of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, AnneMarie Spyropoulos and Morfia Martin.

Pete is preceded in death by his parents, Thrasivoulos and Maria Spyropoulos and daughter, Marianne.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a visitation being held one hour prior to the service from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to a Go Fund Me to cover funeral expenses and assisting Morfia with operating their restaurant and maintaining their home in California.
