Pamela Kay Hillhouse of Plano, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, at the age of 71.
Pamela was born on March 23, 1955, in Ruislip, England, to James and Mary (Stonecipher) Lewis. Because her father served in the military, Pamela and her family traveled often during her childhood, giving her a love of adventure and creating many cherished memories along the way.
Pamela graduated from Rolla High School in 1973 and attended cosmetology school. On December 14, 1974, she married the love of her life, Jimmie Lee Hillhouse, in Rolla, Missouri. Pamela supported her husband in his engineering firm while raising their two children and creating a loving home.
Pamela found great joy in being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to cook and especially enjoyed preparing meals for the people she loved. She treasured every opportunity to spend time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She also had a special love for the beach, where she enjoyed the beauty, peace, and time spent making memories with family.
Pamela was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano for 43 years, where her faith in Jesus Christ was THE MOST important part of her life. She was active in serving, teaching, mentoring and encouraging others to grow in their relationship with Christ.
Pamela will be remembered for her love of Jesus, family, her generous heart, her devotion to those she loved, and the many memories she created throughout her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through her children, grandchildren, and all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Jimmie Hillhouse of Plano, Texas; children, Justin Hillhouse and wife, Audrey of Plano, Texas and Heather Koval and husband, Sean of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Emily Hillhouse, Colt Hillhouse, Abigail Koval, Luke Koval, Zachary Koval, and bonus grandchildren, Katie Pham and Rayna Han; mother, Mary Lewis of Rolla, Missouri; brothers, Mike Lewis of Plano, Texas and Mitch Lewis of Rolla, Missouri; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Lewis, and sister, Brenda Burchfiel.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 W Park Boulevard, Plano, Texas 75093.
The family will receive guests for a visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can made to Prestonwood Baptist Church or Prestonwood Pregnancy Center.
