IN LOVING MEMORY

Page Beck Hundley

Nov 16 1931 - Jan 22 2005

Page Beck Hundley, 73, dearly loved, departed suddenly from a heart attack on January 22, 2005. Born on November 16, 1931 and raised in Richmond, VA by the late Mr. and Mrs. Page Beck, she developed a great love of horses at an early age. This passion led her to be an accomplished horse woman who loved and owned Arabian horses, show them, and won national awards. Upon entering the College of William and Mary, Page’s life took a pivotal turn, meeting two men who would change her life forever! Athletic, lettering in tennis when graduating from college, Page was married and preceded in death by her first husband. She is survived by her four children, Page (Harry) Hitch of Suffolk, VA, Russell (Beth) of Virginia Beach, VA, Lee (Kim) Gills of Lincoln, UT, and Amelia (Alex) Alissa of Colorado Springs, CO. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and a sister. In May 1995, Page married Posie J. Hundley, her “first beau” at William and Mary, both relocated to McKinney, TX and considered it home and made new friends who were like family. True as any committed to one’s community, Page served as secretary on the corporate board of the McKinney Housing Finance Corporation. Never one to meet a stranger, she made friends with everyone she met, her strong Episcopal faith carrying her. She spent her later years as an avid gardener, an active Chi-O Alumnus, and was involved with the William and Mary Alumni office. Page was a living testimony that you can love more than once in a lifetime. While it is a challenge to love unconditionally, we must also learn to accept unconditionally, not understand unconditionally. A memorial in the “celebration of life” for Page Hundley will be at 4:00 PM, Thursday, January 27, 2005 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Virginia Beach, VA at a later date.
