Oscar Raul Grace, a resident of McKinney, Texas, passed away on May 5, 2024, at the age of 80. He was born to Oscar R. Grace and Elvira Paz de Grace in Punta Arenas, Chile, where he spent his formative years. As a young man, he ventured to Santiago before embarking on a life journey that would lead him to Texas.

In 1971, Oscar found love with his future wife, Margarita, and together they began a life that took them to various cities across the Lone Star State before finally settling in McKinney, which they proudly called home.

Oscar was a pioneer in the field of Information Technology, having witnessed its evolution from its nascent stages. However, it was his transition to interpreting in 2000 that truly showcased his love for linguistics. Fluent in both Spanish and English, with an adeptness for reading French and Italian.

Oscar was a man of many passions. A Trivial Pursuit Champ, his insatiable curiosity drove him to explore a wide array of subjects, including world politics and current events. His enthusiastic support for the Barcelona Futbol Team and the Miami Dolphins Football Team showcased his unwavering dedication to his sports interests.

One of Oscar's most endearing qualities was his love for his family and devotion to Margarita. A collector of hats and lover of gomitas, he delighted in sharing his treasures with loved ones, always ensuring that those around him felt cherished and cared for. Above all, Oscar's family held the utmost importance in his life. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a doting grandfather, and a dearly beloved brother. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Margarita Grace of McKinney, Texas’ daughter, Ann Grace and husband, Brad Dowell of Denver, Colorado; son, James Grace and wife, Jenifer of Melissa, Texas; grandchildren, Ricky, Katie, Julia, and Aidan, Isabel, and Jovi; sister, Gladys Grace and husband, Duncan Campbell of Chile; numerous nieces and nephews; other loving family members and friends.
