Orra Irene “Orrene” Logan, 90, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 8, 2016 in Frisco, Texas. She was born on July 30, 1926, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Paul L. and Gladys Irene Fuqua. She married the love of her life, Donald E. Logan, on April 20, 1946 and the two were married for 70 wonderful years.
Orrene and Don lived in various places throughout their married life due to his career in the Air Force, but once he retired, they settled down in Amarillo, Texas. Orrene worked for the Internal Revenue Service as a customer service agent, as well as teaching several courses on tax preparation. Once she retired, she and Don moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas and enjoyed years of golfing. Orrene was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Amarillo, Texas and St. Theodore’s Episcopal Church in Bella Vista, Arkansas. She was a member of the Altar Guild at both churches. She also volunteered at the Bella Vista Historical Society. Left to treasure her memory is her husband Don of Frisco, Texas; sons: Richard J. and wife Phyllis of San Antonio, Texas, Keith E. and wife Barbara of Dallas, Texas, Kent P. and wife Mary of Frisco, Texas, Craig D. and wife Denise of Amarillo, Texas. Eleven grandchildren: Tori L. Rasberry and husband Eric, Melissa D. Cruz and husband Xavier, Christine L. Logan, Nicole Logan, Kyle Logan, Chase A. Logan and wife Katie, Kayla Logan, Johnathan D. Cornelsen, Melissa Gray, Chad Mazurek and wife Kristin, and Jed Mazurek, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Orra is preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service for Orrene will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home chapel, 8520 Main Street, Frisco, TX 75034.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
