Opal Catherine Bass

July 21, 1919 - July 11, 2005

Opal Catherine Bass, age 85, of Spring, Texas, formerly of Climax, Texas, passed away July 11, 2005. She was born July 21, 1919, in Climax, Texas, to W. A. and Nanny (Lyon) Recer. She married George F. Bass May 29, 1937, in Durant, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Bammel Road Church of Christ and worked at the Champion Golf Club in Houston, Texas. Mrs. Bass is survived by her daughter, Shirley Sembritzky of Spring, Texas; daughter-in-law, Shirley Bass of Irving, Texas; grandsons: Rocky and wife, Goldie Sembritzky of Houston, Texas, Christopher and wife, Tamara Sembritzky of London, England, Brian and wife, Minda Sembritzky of Spring, Texas and Greg Bass of Irving, Texas; 2 great-granddaughters; 3 great-grandsons; 2 sisters, Betty Derden of Lancaster, Texas, and Lou Anderson of Grand Prairie, Texas; special niece, Doris Rader of Dallas, Texas; and several other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband and son, Gary Freeman Bass. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 14, 2005, at 2:00 P.M. in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Bro. Nelson McCord officiating. Interment will follow at Van Winkle Cemetery, Climax, Texas.

Sorry to hear of Mrs. Opal Bass passing away. I live in Farmersville, Tx and work at Feagin Supermarket, Inc. & remember them shopping with us. Deepest Sympathy to her family.
