Mr. Omer Dennis, age 81, of Allen, Texas, passed away August 2, 2006, in McKinney, Texas. He was born January 18, 1925, in Newark, Ohio, to Omer and Anna B. (Johnson) Dennis. On May 14, 1977, he married Toye Mae Gilliland in Greenville, Texas. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and received the Asiatic-Pacific, American Area, World War II Victory and Good Conduct Medals and was honorably discharged. He was a retired banker and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Toye M. Dennis of Plano, Texas; daughters, Barbara Ann Lindenblatt of Plano, Texas; Beverly Ward of Texarkana, Texas, Tena Callahan of Dallas, Niki Gonzales of Richardson, Texas, Tamy Stark of Celina, Texas, and Jami Treigle of Allen, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and 6 great grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 4, 2006, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Ed Neal officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M., Thursday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
