Olieda "Lee" Blair passed away peacefully on March 31, 2023 at the age of 96 in Allen, Texas. She was born August 21, 1926, in Amenia, North Dakota to Ella Reiniets and Vivian Ocker.
Lee grew up on the farm with her three sisters, brother, and numerous aunts and uncles all coming together during the Great War, and family was always cherished in her life. Following high school and the war ending, she and a few other family members moved to California. After working a couple of years in California, she moved to Texas and met her husband Howard, and were married in 1952 in Houston. They started the family with Howard Jr. - Houston 1954, David - Alaska 1955, Jeff - Vermont 1957, and back to Texas for Greg in 1964.
Lee's passions, other than raising four boys in Pleasant Grove during the 70's, was cooking, music and dancing. She knew how to cook any ethnic dish and make it tasty. Lee's record player was always on, listening to Ray Price, Patsy Cline, Dean Martin and others. Lee considered the congregation of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church as family and without a doubt she will be missed.
She is survived by sons Howard Jr (Dallas, TX); David and his wife Teri (Waco, TX); Jeff and his wife Pam (Allen, TX); and, Greg and his wife Phara (Spokane, WA). Grandkids are Bethany, Kelsey, Matthew, Chase and Courtney.
Lee was preceded in death by spouse Howard Blair, sisters Dolores, Lois, Ella, and brother Sam. A tribute service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Mustang Creek-Allen for their loving care of Lee.
