Velma Oletha Phillips Butler was born November 26, 1921 at Celina, Texas to David Phillips and Jennie Miller Phillips. She married R. D. Butler on August 23, 1952 at Trenton, Texas. She died Monday, May 14, 2012 at her residence in Trenton, Texas at the age of 90.
Oletha was a graduate of Trenton High School. After graduating from high school, she went to work at the First National Bank of Trenton, where she worked her entire career. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Trenton. She was the organist at the church for many years.
Her family preceded her in death.
Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Burns Cemetery, Trenton, Texas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Joshua Crutchfield.
