Obituary For Odessa Hurt Poston Odessa Hurt Poston, age 90, of McKinney, Texas, passed away March 26, 2009, in McKinney. Odessa was born February 4, 1919 in McKinney, Texas, to Calvin Adolphus and Bashie Viola (Hawkins) Hurt. She married Jack Poston on February 14, 1953 in Sherman, Texas. Odessa was a bookkeeper for many years. She was also an active member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority as well as a longtime member of First Baptist Church of McKinney where she taught Sunday School. She is survived by her son, Jim C. Poston of McKinney; daughter, Jacque Poston Waddell and her husband, Gary of Princeton, Texas; grandchildren, Brianna Corbit, Morgan Ford, and Ben Waddell; great-grandchildren, Aiden Caprio and Rylee Ford; and sister, Joyce Powell of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Poston in 1988; four brothers; one sister; and granddaughter, Felicia Waddell in 2001. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 30, 2009, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M., Sunday evening.
