Oaklee Jett Rogers of Whitewright, Texas passed away January 17, 2026 at the age of 13. He was born to John Derek Rogers and Sheena Lee Edgar on September 11, 2012 in Denison, Texas.
A member of the Whitewright Church of Christ, Oaklee followed Jesus and reflected His love in the way he cared for everyone, particularly his younger cousins.
An avid outdoorsman, Oaklee loved hunting and fishing. He spent countless hours exploring the Durham Family Farm and Pilot Grove Creek bottom with his companion Goose at his side. When not in the great outdoors, he enjoyed tinkering on the motors of his 1987 Chevy Blazer or Kawasaki dirt bike.
A proud 7th grade Whitewright Tiger, Oaklee cherished all his teammates dearly from the time he began playing youth sports in Whitewright at the age of 5.
He is survived by his father, Derek Rogers of Whitewright, Texas; mother, Sheena Dunn and husband, Jeremy of Sherman, Texas; grandmother, Donna Robinson and husband, Keller of Whitewright, Texas; grandfather, Richard Edgar of Antlers, Oklahoma; great grandmother, Linda Durham of Whitewright, Texas; aunt, Courtney Creech and husband, Clay of Rosharon, Texas; uncle, Braeden Pittman of Frisco, Texas; uncle, Johnathan Rogers, and uncle, Shannon Edgar and wife, Kim of Colbert, Oklahoma along with many other loving family members.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Emily Edgar and paternal grandfather, John Rogers.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the Whitewright Church of Christ, 606 S. Carter Street, Whitewright, Texas 75491. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery following the service.
The family will receive guests for a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 201 W. Maple Street, Whitewright, Texas 75491.
