Novaline (Harris) Varner of Farmersville, Texas passed away November 18, 2020 at the age of 66. She was born on April 29, 1954 to Albert Harris and Dorothy (Daniels) Harris in McKinney, Texas. Novaline graduated from McKinney High School. She was a bailiff for the 199th District Court in Collin County before she started her career as the chief investigator for Collin County’s DA’s office, where she retired after over 30 years of service. Novaline was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Farmersville.

Novaline is survived by her son, Shane Varner and wife, Chandra of Blue Ridge, Texas; daughter, Shonda Powell and husband, Jeff of Blue Ridge, Texas; grandchildren, Jacob Varner, Garrett Varner, Josh Powell and Jase Powell; brother, James Harris of McKinney, Texas; sisters, Pat Robertson of McKinney, Texas, Stella Hall of Benbrook, Texas and Brenda Case of Princeton, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Albert Harris and nephews, Eric Case and James Harris, Jr.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 23, 2020 at First Baptist Church, 316 TX-78, Blue Ridge, Texas 75424.

Following the funeral service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service where all are invited to attend the committal service maintaining social distancing or you may remain in your vehicle. You will be able to listen to the service through speakers set up at the gravesite.
