Norman Colombo, age 49, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011, at Centennial Medical Center, in Frisco, Texas. Norm was born in Rochester, New York on October 9, 1962, the son of Norman Colombo and Ruby Lane. On January 24, 1982 he married his wife, Michelle, of almost 30 years. Norm was a jack-of-all trades. His talents were many including fixing computer problems, restoring cars, mechanically-inclined, and all around handy man. Norm had a strong passion for animals, helping people, and was known as a caring and giving man with a big heart. He is survived by his wife, Michelle; brothers, Paul Colombo and Jim Colombo both of Michigan; nephew and nieces, Brandon, Brianna and Mersedes all of Michigan, also Natasha and Heather of Texas; uncles, Paul Darr of Michigan and Jim Darr of Arizona; mother and father in-law, Cliff and Marilyn DeFore of Texas; brother and sister in-law, Mike and Margaret DeFore of Texas; a host of other loving family and friends. Norm is preceded in death by his daughter, Anne Maree Colombo; parents, Norman and Ruby; sister, Penny; and his beloved pets, Spike, Rocky, Smoky Sabastian, Bandit and Samson. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway N., Allen, Texas 75013. Larry Walker, a friend of the family, and ordained minister, will be officiating. Donations in Norm’s memory may be made to your favorite animal shelter.
