Norma Linda Richardson

Norma Richardson was 53 years young when she passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2020 in Allen, Texas.  She was born Norma Linda Rivera on July 27, 1966 to Francisco and Amelia Rivera at home in Dallas, Texas. 

Norma graduated from Plano Senior High in Plano, Texas.  She met and married the love of her life, Ricky Gene Richardson, while both were working at Brookshire’s Grocery.  They were married April 25, 1992 at the Plano Baptist Church.

When you saw Norma, it was that smile that drew you to her. Once you met her, it was her big heart that kept you near her. Knowing her, you knew her greatest accomplishment in life were her children.

Her son, Reed, was her first born and the one that made her a mother.  He gave her this title in 1995. Her daughter, Hannah Renee, completed her when she was born in 2002.  Norma was so proud of both of her children and the young adults they are becoming.

Norma was preceded in death by her father, Francisco and her father-in-law, Leonard Poland.

Those left to cherish her memory are Ricky, Reed, Hannah and Sadie(fur baby)of the home; her mother, Amelia of Plano Texas, her mother-in-law Cheryl Poland of Lone Oak Texas; two sisters, Elisa Hayes(Gene) of Katy Texas and Lorena Fennell(Robert) of Allen Texas; two brothers, Frank Rivera of Allen Texas and Rene Rivera(Tina) of McKinney Texas; brother-in-law, Mark Poland(Amy) of Rowlett Texas and sister-in-law, Nikki Brown(Charlie) of Greenville Texas. Six nephews and three nieces: Eric and Jeremy Rivera, Adrianna and Zachary Fennell, Seth Rivera, Jonathan and Gabrielle Hayes, Preston and Emily Poland.  Lakin Futch, her blonde hair blue eyed baby from another mother.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020, at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, 410 Wesley Lane, Blue Ridge, Texas 75424. Burial will be after at Blue Ridge Cemetery. The viewing will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 6-8pm at Hurst’s Fielder-Baker Funeral Home, 107 N. Washington St, Farmersville, Texas, 75442.
