Norma Bridget Brower

Norma Bridget (Russo) Brower of Plano, Texas went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2021 at the age of 91. She was born on February 5, 1930 to Eugene Russo and Theresa (Andreozzi) Russo in Hackensack, New Jersey. She attended the University of Oklahoma, where she met and later married Charles Edwin Brower on August 26, 1950 in New York. Norma was a homemaker, and also worked at the Sears credit department for many years.  Most recently, she worked as a judge during elections. She volunteered at the Salvation Army and the Plano Senior Center. Norma enjoyed bridge, bingo, Pokeno, Sudoku and other games, and shared the love of games with her family. She liked to tell the story of waiting in line as a teenage “bobby soxer” in 1947 to see her idol Frank Sinatra in concert!

Norma is survived by her sister, Maria Zito; sons, Stephen Brower and wife Donna, Charles E. (Skip) Brower, Jr. and wife Darlene, Thomas M. Brower and wife Cheryl, and Michael L. Brower and wife Patti; daughters, Holly Benfield and husband Dave, and Roxanne White and husband Sherman; grandchildren, Ashley Paige Fender, Jeffrey Brubaker, Jr, Charles E Brower, III, Parker Brower, Preston Brower, Collin Brower, Haley Brower, Grayson Brower, Mason White and Tessa White.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Edwin Brower; parents, Eugene and Theresa Russo; brother Oreste Russo.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.
