Norma Alice Maricle Book, age 85, of McKinney, Texas, formerly of Snyder, Texas, passed away on January 7, 2017. She was born in Fairfield, Illinois on February 6, 1931 to Cecil and Delores (Talbert) Maricle. Norma graduated from Fairfield Community High School in 1948. On July 24, 1949, she married John B. Book. They moved to Snyder, Texas in 1957. Norma worked as the business manager at Wilson Motors for over fifteen years. She was a member of ESA Service Sorority for thirty years. Norma and John loved traveling in their RV.
She is survived by her children, Dee Ann Carroll and husband Charles of Lubbock, Texas, Jo Book of McKinney, Texas and Terry Book also of McKinney, Texas; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many other loving relatives and friends.
Norma is preceded in death by her husband, John B. Book; parents, Cecil and Delores Maricle; and brother, Bob Maricle.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday January 12, 2017 at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, IL. A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home with burial at Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield, IL
