Noble Seely, 72, of Lucas passed away peacefully at home on February 19, 2024. Noble was born in Lamesa, Texas to Gene Chumley Seely and Cleo Flenniken Seely. They moved to Dimmitt in 1955 where he lived until he graduated from high school.
Noble moved to Dallas after high school graduation and begin his career with Home Interiors & Gifts where he met his wife, Debbie. He was 19 when he began as a warehouse associate and retired as Vice President and Officer of the company 30 years later. Mary C. Crowley and Donald J. Carter, founders of Home Interiors, were very influential people in his life, as they lead a company with Christian values. While working at Home Interiors & Gifts he had the opportunity to travel across the United States leading rallies for thousands of displayers. He traveled to Brazil to help build the Abrigo Linda Amor Clinic, sleeping in a hammock on a boat in the Amazon and bathing in the river with the piranhas. For those that know Noble, you know that bathing in the Amazon was not the highlight of this trip. After retirement from HI he worked with his close friend Robert Adams in San Antonio until forced into true retirement due to his medical condition.
Many memories were made at Cedar Creek Lake with family, attending Dallas Maverick games and going to watch the North Garland Raiders football games where their daughter Jen was a Mam’selle and the Naaman Forest Ranger football games where their son Jeremy played football. Noble’s work ethic extended into the home as well. On Saturdays he could be found working in his well-manicured yard, sometimes mowing it twice, washing all of the cars by hand and then going on a long run. It seemed that he had an endless amount of energy.
Noble was diagnosed with Scleroderma in 1995 and while his health changed significantly he maintained a positive outlook on life. He continued to attend his grandkids ball games and school events as long as possible, as this is what gave him joy. We should all learn a lesson from his strength and grace during the hardest of times.
Our family is grateful for the loving care of the Hospice staff including LaTorya and his nurses. It was a blessing to have their help and support.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Seely of Lucas, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Hall and husband, Scott of McKinney, Texas; son, Jeremy Seely and wife, Natalie of Lucas, Texas; grandchildren, Jacob Gerard, Addison Seely, and Jackson Seely; sisters, Jeanette Williamson and husband, Glenn, Brenda Seely, and Karen Seely and many other loving friends and family.
Noble was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the National Scleroderma Foundation.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. With a reception to follow at the home of Noble and Debbie.
