Nita Margaret (Martin) Thompson, age 66, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019. She was born on August 14, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, to Peggy (Davie) and Clair “Sonny” Martin. Nita married John Thompson on January 1, 1981, in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Bryan Adams High School Class of 1971. Nita was the CFO and Vice President of TFCS, Inc. for 36 years and served on the Little Elm School Board for two terms during her children’s school years.
Nita will be remembered as a loving, caring wife, mother, sister and “Grandmom” who valued family above all and cared deeply for those she held close. She exhibited incredible strength throughout hardship, worked tirelessly in her endeavors, loved literature, and had an extraordinary talent for giving people the “perfect” gift for holidays and special occasions.
Nita leaves to cherish her memory, her beloved husband, John Thompson; her son, Matt Thompson and his wife, Briana, of Lubbock, Texas; her daughter, Briana Streit and her husband, Andy Frazier, of Frisco, Texas; her step-son, Adam Thompson of Frisco, Texas; her grandchildren, Creed Thompson, Everlie Thompson, Harper Frazier, and Keagan Frazier; her sister, Marty Wingo and her husband, Doug Maranto, of McKinney, Texas; her niece, Devony Arrington and her husband, Andy, of McKinney, Texas; as well as a host of friends. Her children and grandchildren were her most prized possessions whom she loved very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peggy and Sonny Martin.
A Memorial Service will be held at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas, on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 beginning at 2:00 PM.
