Nina Loftice Carlock

Nina Loftice Carlock, age 95, of Celina, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021.  She was born on May 7, 1926, in Celina to Leah Artie (Wester) and Robert Claud Loftice.  During her childhood, Nina attended Bethel Baptist Church.  She married the love of her life, James Dean "J.D."  Carlock, in Galveston, Texas, on August 10, 1944, and they were blessed with three daughters.  Nina and J.D. settled in McKinney where they raised their daughters, attended First Baptist Church and lived for over forty years.  Nina utilized her many talents as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.  She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. 

Nina is survived by her daughters, Judy Kissinger of Ivanhoe, Texas, Jan Bullock and her husband, Bob, of Dacono, Colorado, and Jenifer Carlock and her husband, Kevin Nason, of Plano, Texas; her grandchildren, J.D. Kissinger, Jeff Kissinger, Jon Kissinger and his wife, Stacy, Grant Harrison and his wife, Nina, and Paige Raible and her husband, Andy; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; her sister, Winona Dees of Denton, Texas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Carlock; her brothers, Lester Loftice, J.P. Loftice and Neal Loftice; and her sisters, Roberta Rawlings Fife and Ruth LaGrone. 

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday, July 5, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 109 South Oklahoma Street, Celina, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Cottage Hill Cemetery, 11400 FM 2478, Celina, Texas. 

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made in her memory to the Bethel Baptist Church or to an organization of your choice.
