Nina Lavelle Baxter

Nina Lavelle (Darland) Baxter, of McKinney, Texas passed away on May 1, 2017, in Plano, Texas. Nina was born August 29, 1948, in McKinney, Texas to William Hester and Anna Mae (Caraway) Darland. She married Roy E. Baxter on April 1, 1966, in McKinney, Texas.

Nina is survived by her husband, Roy E. Baxter; two sons, Roy Don Baxter and his wife Jennifer and Matt Baxter and his wife Rhonda; daughter, Kimberly Baxter; grandchildren, Cole, Wesley, Savannah and Nash; and a host of loving family and friends.

Nina is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Oral Darland; and her beloved grandmother, Mama Caraway.


A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at the Cottage Hill Cemetery. Hwy 380 W; Custer Rd (2478) N; R on FM 1461; immediate L on 2478; 4 miles on R CELINA, TX 75009.

To the family of Nina Baxter.. I am so sorry for your loss i just found out. Im glad i got to hear her sweet voice one last time as we spoke back n Mar 2017. My mom Bonnie Tate also passed in March.
