IN LOVING MEMORY

Nicolas Huerre

Jan 21 1994 - Jul 09 2022

Our beloved son, brother and friend Nicolas Huerre passed away on Saturday July 9, 2022 at the age of 28 in the Dallas area.

He was born in France in Aix-en-Provence on January 21st 1994 to Bernard and Agnes Huerre, and his older brother Emmanuel. In the middle of kindergarten, he moved to Chicago during the summer of 1998 where he attended the Lycee Francais de Chicago private school for the remainder of his education. After graduating high school 10 years ago around this time, he attended college at the University of Illinois Chicago to study Information Decision Sciences.

He worked various jobs throughout his adult life in different industries, from hospitality to financial investment companies to shipping and logistics. “Nick” was an artist at heart, with a keen eye for detail and a true admirer of natural beauty in the world and people. He was a sensitive person and often pondered on existential and philosophical topics, which led him to be generous and have great empathy. He also had a great sense of humor and his ability to imitate anyone (including you) was a guaranteed laugh.

Nicolas enjoyed nature walks, riding his bicycle, singing and going to a Celtic bar in McKinney to drink cider and play pool with his father. He loved Vietnamese food, BBQ and of course his mother’s cooking, often being French cuisine. He shared many activities with his brother, including sitting down with music, watching movies, playing multiplayer video games, riding motorcycles and flying general aviation airplanes. But most of all, Nicolas enjoyed the yearly family gathering of four generations under one roof at the family’s house in the South of France where uncles and aunts are like second parents, and a dozen cousins are brothers and sisters.

Gone too soon, he is survived by all his family members.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 14, 2022, at St. Mark The Evangelist Catholic Church, 1201 Alma Drive, Plano, Texas 75075.  A rosary service will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.

Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013 for a committal service.
