Nickey DeWayne Hamilton was born October 10, 1954 in Tom Bean, Texas to Comer Wallace Hamilton and Wallace Amanda Gregory Hamilton. He died Monday, January 8, 2018 at Carrus Specialty Hospital in Sherman, Texas at the age of 63. He was a resident of Tom Bean, Texas.

Nickey was a graduate of Texas School for the Deaf in Austin. He then went on to work at Texas Instrument/MEMC for over 30 years. His love was for horses and he was an accomplished horse trainer. He was a member of the Baptist faith. He was greatly loved and will be missed.

He is survived by brother, Pat Hamilton and wife Judy of Tom Bean; sister, Sandra Miller and husband Roy of Dallas; Ron Hamilton and wife Patricia of Sherman, Don Hamilton and wife Donna of Tom Bean; sister, Penney Hamilton of Denison; brother, Eddy Hamilton and wife Connie of Tom Bean, Rickey Hamilton and wife Joyce of Tom Bean; sister-in-law, Patricia Hamilton of Warwick, Rhode Island; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Mike Hamilton.

Funeral Services will be held, 11:00AM Friday, January 12, 2018 at First Baptist Church, Tom Bean, Texas. Officiating the service will be Brother Duane Peters. Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery in Blue Ridge, Texas. Pallbearers will be Pat Hamilton, Ron Hamilton, Don Hamilton, Eddy Hamilton, Rickey Hamilton, and Roy Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Bert Townsend, Gene Clay, Gary Paddock, and Dwayne Morin.

Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Thursday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright.
