Friends, it is with a broken heart that I share with you that Nathan Frank Jones left this world suddenly and too soon on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
Nathan had an extraordinary intellect and intelligence but was only ever humble when asked about it. He was fiercely competitive on the tennis court, the basketball court, and later the game console. He was equally fiercely loyal and loving to his friends and family and gentle and caring to four-legged animals and his many pets.
He was born in Dallas on April 11, 1969. He graduated first in his class from Thomas Jefferson High School and went on to get his BS in Computer Science from the great University of Texas. He also earned his Masters degree in Business Administration.
He began his career at Nortel and finished it at Iqvia. He was married as a young man and fathered two children, Natasha and Kieran.
His life bloomed and his heart soared when he met and married Helena and blended his family with her two children, Marcus and Sophia. Together Nathan and Helena built a home of love, laughter, respect, and kindness. Long walks with their dogs, good meals, and plenty of mornings spent in their beautiful backyard wove together the beauty of their 20-year marriage where Nathan was loved and cherished every single day.
Together with Helena and her children and their friends we will celebrate Nathan’s life and legacy at their home at a later date.
Asthma is a powerful enemy, and Nathan battled it his entire life. That war ended on Tuesday.
Soar free, my powerful and extraordinary friend! I’ll see you again one day, and I’ll miss you terribly until then.
