Mrs. Naomi Lee McKinney, age 83, of McKinney, Texas passed away February 1, 2009, in McKinney. She was born on May 20, 1925, in Collin County, Texas to Pat Rutledge and Ethel (McClain) Rutledge. In 1948, she married J.W. McKinney in Collin County, Texas. Mrs. McKinney was the food service director for McKinney ISD for over 28 years. She was of the Christian faith. Mrs. McKinney is survived by her sons, Jerry McKinney and wife, Rhonda of Whitewright, Texas and John Pat McKinney of McKinney; grandchildren, Josh McKinney and Jamie Anders both of Whitewright, Greg Stevens of McKinney, Chris Stevens of Midland, Texas and Lee Ann Knippa of Anna, Texas; several great grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John William “J.W.” McKinney; daughter, Linda Stevens; and parents, Pat and Ethel Rutledge. A memorial graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney with Rev. Dean Pratt officiating. A remembrance gathering will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home beginning at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2009.
