Nancy Bush Morian of McKinney, Texas passed away on February 28, 2020 at the age of 95. She was born on August 29, 1924 to Edgar Howard Bush and Mary Elizabeth Bishop in Fairview, Texas. Nancy grew up in McKinney, Texas where she attended schools and graduated from high school. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Texas Women’s University in Denton, Texas. Nancy married Tucker Frazer Morian on January 8, 1949 in McKinney, Texas. She worked as a research chemist for Exxon Mobile in Houston for fifteen years until she quit working to raise her family. Nancy enjoyed genealogy, bridge and travel. She belonged to many patriotic associations including the Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames of America, Mary K. Craig Class, Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims, the Heard-Craig Center for the Arts and Allen Heritage Guild.
She was a member of First Christian Church in McKinney, Texas. Her interest in genealogy led to the writing of a book of the Bush Family descendants and ancestors co-authored by Joyce Bush Benton. Nancy also enjoyed many family reunions, the much-enjoyed recipes of which led to two publications of the Bush Family Cookbook.
Nancy is survived by her son, Rick Morian and wife, Tina, of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandchildren, Matt Campbell, Sarah Welty and husband, Chad, Josh Morian and wife, Jessica; great grandchildren, Court Welty, Hannah Welty, Maddie Welty, Sophie Welty, Emma Welty, Ava Welty, Lilah Campbell, Jack Morian. and a host of other loving family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tucker Frazer Morian; parents, Edgar and Elizabeth Bush and her daughter, Barbara D. Morian.
Nancy and her family are eternally grateful for the care and affection of her caregivers, Icy Verser, Sheila Hamilton, LaTreshun Swain, Brenda Davis, Eileen Ashley and, most especially, her dear friend of many years, Peggy Miller.
A private graveside service will be held Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas. A reception for family and friends will be held Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at The Chateau, 5701 Virginia Parkway, McKinney, Texas 75071. Family and friends are invited to the reception to pay their respects to the family.
