IN LOVING MEMORY

Nancy Maria Celentano

Jan 16 1940 - Oct 24 2020

Nancy Maria Celentano of Allen, Texas passed away on October 24th, 2020, at the age of 80 reuniting with her heart, soul, and lifetime love, Raymond Celentano. She was born on January 16, 1940 to Michael Gregory and Nicolena Gregory (Laudante) in the Bronx, New York. Nancy married Raymond Joseph Celentano on April 4, 1959 in The Bronx, New York. Together they raised four wonderful children, and helped raise 7 grandchildren, who loved their grandparents with all their heart.  Nancy, like Raymond, enjoyed playing card, bingo, mahjong, and board games with her friends and family. Many of the wonderful memories her family will carry with them were created around the family dinner table during early Sunday dinners, holiday laughter, and evening Shanghai games. Nancy was the only person who seemed to find a way to best her husband in the card games he also loved.   A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Nancy's entire life was centered around the care of others.  She cherished the moments spent poolside with her family and the nights with her husband watching old movies and sporting events. She cared for her Husband through his battle with cancer, never leaving his side. His passing left a void in her life that nothing could fill, a testament to her love and devotion well in excess of the nearly sixty year they were married. Nancy's love and passion for her husband and family were matched only by her Italian cooking and smile that would light up the room her family flocked to in order to be close to her. While her passing leaves a void in her family's life that also will never be filled, they take solace in knowing that she is reunited with Raymond, walking hand in hand once again.

Nancy is survived by her son, Michael Celentano and wife, Mary Jane of Allen, Texas; daughters, Michele Babnik and husband, Andrew of Putnam Valley, New York, Marlene Taccariello and husband, Anthony of Cortlandt Manor, New York and Maureen Carducci and husband, Robert of Cortlandt Manor, New York; grandchildren, Andrew Babnik, Jr. and wife, Krista, Amanda Fischelli and husband, John, Raymond Babnik and wife, Megan, Kirstin Celentano, Nicole Taccariello, Nicholas Carducci and Justin Carducci; great grandchildren, Camille Fischelli, Evie Fischelli, Eliana Babnik, Oliva Rae Babnik; sister, Maria Mockler; and numerous other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
