Nancy Jane Renfro, 74, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026.
Nancy was born on June 23, 1951, in Dallas, Texas to Kenneth Edgar Thoma and Ella Jeanne Whitis. Raised with strong family values and a warm spirit, she carried those qualities throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.
On August 21, 1970, Nancy married the love of her life, David H. Renfro, in Dallas, Texas. Their marriage was a testament to devotion and partnership, spanning more than five decades and filled with love, faith, and shared memories.
Nancy was a faithful member of Hunters Glen Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, where she found joy in worship, fellowship, and service. Her church community was an important part of her life, and she cherished the friendships and spiritual growth she experienced there.
Nancy will be remembered for her kindness, gentle strength, and unwavering love for her family. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to those she loved, always offering encouragement, wisdom, and a listening ear. Her legacy of faith, compassion, and dedication will live on in the lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband David H. Renfro of Plano, Texas; son, Anthony Renfro of Plano, Texas; son, Matthew Renfro and his wife, Kelly of Liberty Hill, Texas; grandchildren, Alexis Renfro, Logan Renfro, Kylie Renfro, Colton Renfro, Maxwell Renfro and Jacob Renfro; sister, Paula Davis and husband James of Hideaway, Texas; sister, Trudy Dee and husband, Albert of Indianapolis, Indiana; and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Ella Thoma.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 27, 2026, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
