Officer Nancy Dominguez, a dedicated law enforcement officer whose passion for justice and commitment to service touched many lives, passed away at Medical Center of McKinney on April 20, 2024 at the age of 32.
Born on February 10, 1992, in Chicago, Illinois, Nancy was the beloved daughter of Enrique Dominguez and Maria Dominguez (Martinez). She graduated from North Garland High School in 2010 before pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, which she proudly earned with honors in 2014. Her collegiate career included numerous academic awards and played college soccer on a scholarship.
Nancy's professional journey began at Huffine's Chevrolet, where she dedicated 7 years of her career. However, there was her profound calling to serve her community through law enforcement that truly ignited her spirit. In 2021, she enrolled in the Law Enforcement Academy at Texas A&M Commerce, marking the beginning of her devoted career in law enforcement.
Joining the Princeton Police Department in 2022, Nancy quickly distinguished herself as an exemplary officer. Her unwavering dedication and exceptional performance led to her being honored as Rookie of the Year for two consecutive years in 2022 and 2023. Her bravery and quick thinking earned her the Life Saving Award in 2023, reflecting her selflessness and commitment to protecting others.
Throughout her tenure with the Princeton Police Department, Nancy's exemplary service garnered widespread recognition. She received numerous accolades, including the Citizen Commendation Award, multiple Letters of Commendations from the Department, and multiple RISE (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence) Awards, all a testament to her outstanding contributions to the community she served.
Officer Nancy Dominguez will be remembered not only for her professional achievements but also for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to making a difference in the lives of those around her. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, colleagues, and the community she served with distinction.
Nancy's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing, loving, and working alongside her.
She is survived by her parents, Enrique, Sr. and Maria Dominguez of Garland, Texas; two brothers, Dr. Ivan Dominguez of Chicago, Illinois, and Enrique Dominguez, Jr., of Garland, Texas; grandparents, Rogelio and Berta Dominguez; and a host of other loving family members, colleagues, cherished friends and girlfriend.
A private visitation will be held in Garland, Texas on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
A public visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
A public funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 26, 2024 at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church, 1015 Sam Rayburn Tollway, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will be live streamed at the following link: Nancy's Service. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Garland Memorial Park, 1600 South Garland Avenue, Garland, Texas 75040. Pastor Tito Alvarenga and Bertha Domiguez will be officiating.
