Naomi “Ruth” (Gallop) Farrar of McKinney, Texas passed away on January 25, 2022 at the age of 92. She was born on October 15, 1929 to Joseph Clarence Gallop and Laura Emily (Rogers) Gallop in Renner, Texas. Ruth grew up in Plano, Texas where she attended schools and graduated from Plano High School. She married Wayne Farrar on June 30, 1950 in McKinney, Texas. Ruth worked for McKinney ISD from 1966-1991 as a teacher’s aide. She enjoyed quilting, needlepoint, embroidery, making pecan pies and spending time with her grandkids and family. Ruth was a member of the First Baptist Church in McKinney, Texas.
Ruth is survived by her children, Brenda DeBacker and husband, Bill of Frisco, Texas and Michael Wayne Farrar and wife, Danice of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer Wolf and husband, Eric of Rockwall, Texas, Julie Clements of Plano, Texas, Brian Farrar of McKinney, Texas, Brandon Farrar and wife, Sara of Hobbs, New Mexico and Crista Garcia and husband, John of Princeton, Texas; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Wolf, Keely Wolf, Lindsey Erwin, Brinlee Farrar, Tuff Farrar, Tripp Farrar, Trooper Farrar, Texx Farrar, Ethan Garcia, Jilliana Garcia, Bryson Farrar, Aubrie Garcia, Hunter Garcia; numerous nieces and nephews and host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 12 brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
