Myrtle Iva Rollins McAnally of McKinney, Texas passed away on March 10, 2023 at the age of 100. She was born in Anna, Texas on April 22, 1922 to Jesse Neal and Birdie Martin Rollins. Her father later remarried Jessie Skaggs. On November 18, 1939, she married Charles Remmel “C.R.” McAnally, and they celebrated 55 years together until his death. She is survived by her two sons: Charles Lewis McAnally and wife Pam, and Mike McAnally. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren: Ricky Kemp and wife Nancy, Charles Lee Kemp and wife Lisa, Michelle McAnally Isbell and husband Darrin, Jonathan McAnally and wife Tori; Elizabeth McAnally and fiancé Aaron Weiss; David McAnally and wife Andrea; Matthew McAnally and wife Stefan; and Stephen McAnally and wife Cynthia. She had 7 living great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Pat Skaggs, her sister-in-law Barbara Rollins, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband C.R., her siblings Floyd Rollins, Lloyd Rollins, Edna Lucille Baggatt, Mildred Harnest, Jack Rollins, J.C. Rollins, JoAnn Hunnicutt, Juanita Marr, Daisy Skaggs, A.D. Skaggs, W.D. Skaggs, Joyce Skaggs, Nadie Skaggs, Mattie Skaggs, Mary Skaggs, Marshall Skaggs, Myrtle Lockard, and Charles Skaggs, her daughter Iva Lou Kemp and husband Joe, and her two great-grandchildren Charles Anthony Kemp and Caroline Kate McAnally.

Myrtle was a homemaker and took care of her three children. She worked alongside her husband doing various jobs: picking cotton as a tenant farmer, working for shares on a farm, mowing lawns, delivering newspapers, etc. She was an active volunteer at the McKinney Senior Citizens Center sewing quilts, delivering hot meals to house-bound elders, and assisting with many other tasks. She also volunteered with the Parent-Teacher Organization in McKinney ISD and helped many young people.

Myrtle was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She loved gospel music and regularly attended the Collin County Second Sunday Singing. She enjoyed dancing, playing dominos (she could still win at the age of 100!), and caring for the flowers in her garden. Her joyful attitude always brightened the day of those around her.

A visitation will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, 75013 on Wednesday evening, March 15, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will also be held at Turrentine-Jackson- Morrow Funeral Chapel on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will immediately follow the funeral at Coffman Cemetery, 104 CR 284, Anna, Texas, 75409.
