Myra Beaty Aydelott Hopper of McKinney, Texas, formerly of Paris, Texas passed away on April 30, 2016 at the age of 102. She was born on October 18, 1913 to John Blanton and Maude (Lynch) Beaty in Avery, Texas. Myra worked for GTE in Clarksville for 25 years as a telephone operator. She also worked for Red River Arsenal during WWII. She was a member of the Daughters of Republic of Texas and the VFW in Paris, Texas.
Myra is survived by her daughter, Wauva Lites of Fairview, Texas; grandchildren, Dari Lin Grubbs and husband Dan of Plano, Texas, Donna Rae Roark and husband Richard of Fairview, Texas and Charles Duane Lites and wife Ann of Rockwall, Texas; great-grandchildren, Donny Grubbs of Plano, Texas, Tanner Roark of Fairview, Texas, Heather Mullineaux and husband T.J. of Ocean City, New Jersey, Travis Lites and Marley Lites both of Rockwall, Texas; nephews, Bob Jacks and Jim Jacks both of Ft. Madison, Iowa; and numerous other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters; and two brothers.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow funeral home in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Boxelder Cemetery, 41 CR 4622, Annona, Texas 75550. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
