Mr. Murray Dantzler, age 79 of Fairview, TX, passed away July 23, 2005 in McKinney, TX. He was born on January 30, 1926 in Dallas, TX to Robert Cloyd and Dovie L. (Meyer) Dantzler. Mr. Dantzler attended Crozier Tech High School of Dallas and the University of Texas at Arlington. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Air Force. He founded General handling systems Inc. in 1968 and operated it as president and owner until his retirement in 2004. He was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Dallas and Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church of Dallas. He was presently a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church in McKinney. Mr. Dantzler was a devout Christian and very active in the pursuits of the Church. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason. Survivors include his wife Sara Dantzler; sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel “Danny” Murray and Susan Dantzler of Richardson, TX, Duane Lewis and Debbie Dantzler of Richardson, TX and Dale Robert and Jennifer Dantzler of Allen, TX; grandchildren, Drake, Ashley, and Kyle; and twin brother, Murrell Dantzler and his wife, Wanda. His parents, his brother, Robert C. Dantzler, and his sister, Anna Ruth Whitmore, precede him in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, at the First Baptist Church of McKinney, 1615 W. Louisiana, with Rev. Randy Morlan officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
