IN LOVING MEMORY

Murphy Latane Eager

Dec 12 2023 - Dec 20 2023

Murphy Latane Eager, our precious daughter born at 6:21 am on December 12, 2023 and went to Heaven in the late afternoon of December 20, 2023. She passed away in our loving arms surrounded by our immediate family and the skilled and compassionate care of the doctors and nurses at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas.

Murphy came into this world feisty, loud, and strong despite being born very prematurely. She loved to grab and hold her Mom’s finger and anything else she could get her little hands and fingers on, including removing her diaper or temperature probe without help. Despite being on this earth for such a short time, her spunk and strong spirit left a heartfelt impact on all who knew and loved her. She was tiny but mighty!

Our sweet forever angel will be greatly missed but eternally appreciated for the life lessons she reminded us to implement and share with others. Murphy reminded us to love deeper, stronger and more vulnerably. Murphy reminded us to trust others especially those who have distinct knowledge, talents and skills sets that may greatly impact us in a positive way. Murphy reminded us to openly and regularly reflect upon our profound faith in God’s plan for us.

As we mourn our baby girl, this precious soul, we are grateful to our family all over the country who hold us up each day in so many ways and upon whom we know we can rely. We appreciate our many friends near and far who show their sodality in word and in action every day. We extend our respect and gratitude to the amazingly skilled and compassionate doctors, nurses and other caregivers at Presbyterian Hospital who are unsung heroes to us and other families of premature infants. We reach out in hope to the community of St. Thomas Aquinas upon whom we have asked for support and will continue to ask for such as we remind ourselves of God’s goodness and try to practice the reminders Murphy so sweetly yet emphatically expressed to us.

Murphy is survived by her parents, Chase and Brianne Eager of Dallas, Texas; brother, Chase Fitzgerald (Fitz) Eager; grandmother, Patricia Murphy of Chevy Chase, MD; grandparents, Tammy and Bobby Neu of Denton, TX; great grandmother, Betty Neu of Denton, TX; grandfather, Dan and Trish Baucum of The Colony, TX; many great, great uncles and aunts; many great uncles and aunts; many uncles and aunts; and numerous cousins.

Murphy we know is in the palm of God’s hand and will remain in our hearts until we meet her again in Heaven where she was greeted by her grandfather, John Bruce Eager; great grandparents, Florence and Robert Murphy; great grandparents, Dean and Billie Baucum; great grandfather, William Neu; great grandparents, Latane and Roger Ramey; great grandmother, Mabel Mozelle Kemendo; great grandfather, Alvin Eager.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 6306 Kenwood Ave, Dallas, Texas 75214 on January 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
