MSG Dillard Lee Gray (Ret.)

Dillard Lee Gray, age 69, of Allen, Texas, passed away January 3, 2016.  Lee was born August 25, 1946, in Greenville, Ohio, to Robert Lee and Marbie Jean (Bain) Gray of Hollansburg Ohio.  He married Connie Louise Urton on November 20, 1965, in King’s Mills, Ohio.  Lee proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and retired as a MSG after twenty-two years of service. He moved his family to Texas after his retirement in the fall of 1988 to work for MCI where he worked for 18 years, he spent a short period of time at XO communications when he decided to try retirement, that lasted till November 2015 when he joined the Bob Tomes Ford team.

Lee loved to be in the wide open spaces hunting and fishing with his friends and spending time at our lake property.

Lee is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Connie Louise Gray of Allen, Texas; daughter, Sheri Beth (Punkin) Guidry and husband, James Russell of Wylie, Texas; sisters, Louise Fasanelli and husband Richard, of Sarasota, Florida, Juanita Thomas and husband Randy, of Decatur, Tennessee; brother, Tony Gray of Tampa, Florida; nieces, Stephanie Johnson of Troy, Ohio, Melissa McCroskey of Decatur, Chelsea and Emily Gray of Tampa; and nephews, Lee and Stephen Thomas of Decatur , and C J Gray of Tampa.  

Brother-in-law, Walter Urton and wife Ginger of Lebanon, Ohio; brother-in-law, Randy Urton and wife Shelly of Kings Mills, Ohio; niece, Tina Rhodus of Lebanon, Ohio; nephews, Scott Urton also of Lebanon, Randall Urton of Kings Mills and Derek Urton of Huntsville, Tennessee; and many additional loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis Gray.

The family will receive friends during a visitation from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
